Nambâre anam Nondimpâ nunura nanempe anja sa qavumbura asempa.

As he came near, the Lion put out his paw, which was all swollen and bleeding,

sa Nondimpân mandiwântu sompuñambusa sunde sosunuya sa sonjunda.

and Nondimpâ found that a huge thorn had got into it, and was causing all the pain.

Mântu solawusa sa xambume ose sontanjusa,
Thorn it-removes-he and lion's its-paw it-wraps-he,
He pulled out the thorn and bound up the paw of the Lion,

xambu xâza nondifexa nosumpa sa naso fali nâ Nondimpâme ayañ sohusoya.

s'aqâmpoya s'ayañ naso fazurali nâ sohusoya

Nungun anântala anâmpora Nondimpâ aqahusa ambona, naqorânce sonendilusa.

The Emperor, surprised at this, summoned Nondimpâ to him, who told him the whole story.

Nuncu nambâre ampenduyo s'alusa,
