Introduction
Urdu (اردو) is a language spoken mainly in Pakistan.
Urdu is very close to the Hindi, which is the world's second largest language, and is mainly spoken in India. The main difference is that Urdu uses an alphabet derived from arabic/persian whilst Hindi uses Devanagari. And Urdu also has more vocabulary from Arabic/Persian origin where Hindi uses words derived from Sanskrit.
Urdu is one of the Indo-Iranian languages, a main-branch of the Indo-European language family.
