Translations: Chess pieces

From UniLang Wiki

I wanted to start our own page here, but actually there is already a very good page with many translations of the chess pieces here: [1]

Some remarks to the meanings of the German names:

1. König (king)
2. Dame (lady)
3. Turm (tower)
4. Läufer (runner)
5. Springer/Pferd (jumper/horse)
6. Bauer (farmer)

Note that Chinese chess is not the same game as western chess (slightly different pieces, and some different movement rules), and further that Chinese chess as played in Korea (perhaps in English "Korean chess") is slightly different still (especially in regards to the cannons). Similarly the Japanese chess (shogi) is again different.
