Plural - Küplek sanı - Множественное число

- In the Tatar language Nouns don't change into PLURAL after any NUMBER, i.e. they remain SINGULAR:
- 2 keşe - 2 men / persons - 2 человека
- 3 bala - 3 children - 3 ребёнка
- 5 pesi - 5 cats - 2 кошки

- Where then the PLURAL form is used?
- When there are no numbers, for example:
- [mp3] Balalar mәktәpkә kitte.- Children went to school. - Дети пошли в школу.
- [mp3] Analar qaldı. - Mothers stayed. - Матери остались.
- [mp3] Kitaplar satılıp bette. - Books were sold out. - Книги были распроданы.

- Also some UNCOUNTABLE (!) nouns are written in PLURAL to express, for instance, poetic air:
- [mp3] Küklәr ayazaydı. - The sky cleared up. - Небо прояснилось. (Literally = skies – небеса)
- [mp3] Bülmәne cıyıştırğaç, hawalar alışındı. - The air got fresh after they did the room / after the room was done. - После уборки воздух в комнате посвежел. (Literally = airs – ? воздушные пространства комнаты ?)

1.1. Will you put the nouns in the column below into a plural form? Note that in Tatar there is no gender.
Adjectives while used with nouns are always in SINGULAR:
