Singular/Plural - Tunggal/Majemuk
From UniLang Wiki
In English language we have singular and plural nouns.
For example:
A cat - singular
Two cats - plural
Notice the addition of an s at the end of the noun
In indonesian language, a plural noun can be constructed by repeating the word
Kucing : A cat
Dua kucing : Two cats
Kucing-kucing : A lot of cats
Notice that as long as you identify the precise number of the noun, you don't have to repeat the noun. The repeated words are usualy written with the number 2 embedded at the end of the word. For example:
Kucing2 : read as Kucing-kucing
Other than that, the word "Banyak", which means "A lot of" can also be used.
Banyak kucing = Kucing2 = Kucing-kucing = A lot of cats
