Romanian masc-fem numbers
From UniLang Wiki
Romanian nouns are have three possible genders: masculine, feminine and neuter. Numerals have specific forms, depending on which gender is the noun you are counting.
If the noun is masculine, everything is counted with the numerals listed in the Romanian vocabulary - numbers section.
Example:
un pom : one tree
doi pomi : two trees
trei pomi : three trees etc.
If the noun is feminine, some changes happen to the numerals for one and two.
One house, for instance, is o casă; two houses is două case
In fact, the numerals for one and two change in whichever combination they are found, with the exception of eleven:
Twelwe houses: douăsprezece case, but unsprezece case for eleven houses
Even with 2001 houses, you would still say: două mii una case
If the noun is neuter, numerals are counted like masculine when it comes to 1s and like feminine when it comes to 2s:
un drum : a road
două drumuri : two roads
douăzeci şi unu de drumuri : twenty one roads
o sută două drumuri : a hundred and two roads
