You need to remember that all of the sounds in Persian found in English, except the r, are pronounced exactly like in English. This only includes the consonants, not the vowels. The r is a trilled sound, exactly like in Spanish, or Arabic. It is not like the German or French r's.

Additional letters: sometimes ۂ is used in place of ه and ی for the اضا?ه, and it used mainly used to help foreigners with pronunciation or to help children pronounce the word. It is not used in normal writing. it is pronounced 'je' (ipa) and it is ONLY at the end of a word.
