THE TOWER OF BABEL
Genesis 11, 1-9

And then earth whole language one and speech one.
And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

And then they journey from east and they find plain in land Shinar and they dwell there.
And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there.

And they say man to other: “Come we make brick and we burn them with fire.�? And the-brick was tothem for stone and the-slime was to-them for mortar.
And they said one to another, "Come, let us make bricks and burn them thoroughly." And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar.

And they say: “Come we build to-us city and tower and head its to sky; and we make to-us name fear scatter to face~s earth whole.
And they said, "Come, let us build us a city and a tower whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth."

Na Ihuh jen ner nja hora u-santy n’u-mpyroq ti wi cro roco.
And Ihuh come down to see the-city and the-tower which son man build.
And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the children of men built.

Na Ihuh leq: “Nde le hen na fon hen pi ampa na nto a raxe a ndar; na nyn menti mpau a ndar pa a no a ndar.
And Ihuh say: “Here people one and language one to them-all and this they begin they do; and now nothing stop they do all they think they do.
And the Lord said, "Behold, the people are one and they have all one language, and this they begin to do; and now nothing will be withheld from them which they have imagined to do.

Come we go down and confound ther language their for man not understand language his other.
Come, let Us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech."

Na Ihuh speri a mpo nke mpi mpor eni nge lo; n’a meci a roco u-santy.
And Ihuh scatter them from there to face~s earth whole; and they cease they build the city.
So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth; and they left off building the city.

Mpo nto noma ntu nkel Vambal nja nke Ihuh taras fon nger lo na mpo nke Ihuh speri a mpi mpor eni nge lo.
From this name its call Babel for ther Ihuh confound language earth whole and from here Ihuh scatter them to face~s earth whole.
Therefore is the name of it called Babel, because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth; and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
