It is incorrect to group "Canadian French", "Quebec French", "Québecois" and "Joual" as one thing.
- Joual is a working class dialect of French, mostly spoken in the area between Montreal and Ottawa/Hull.
- Quebec French/Québecois comprises all french dialects (including joual) spoken in Quebec.
- Canadian French includes all varieties of French spoken in Canada, including Acadian, Newfoundland French, Prairie French and Québecois.
