Japanese grammar: 未然形

未然形[mizenkei] is the connective form to two kinds of auxiliary verbs.

• 未然形1 - connects the auxiliary verbs for the negation(�?��?�(nai),�?�(nu),�?�(zu))
• 未然形2 - connects the auxiliary verbs for imperfective action(�?�(u)).

未完了(mikanryou)[imperfective]

�?�?�本屋�?�行�?��?��?��?��?�時�?��?家�?�電話�?�鳴り出�?��?�。(watashi ga hon-ya ni ikou to shita toki ni, ie no denwa ga nari dashi ta.)
when I almost went out to the bookstore, the home phone started ringing.

a dragonfly almost stopped at my finger, but finally flew away.
