IPA: θ

θ stands for a voiceless dental fricative in IPA.

It is pronounced like the TH in "thin".

The same sound is written Þ in Icelandic, Θ in Modern Greek (note that this sound didn't exist in Ancient Greek) and ﺙ in Arabic.

The letter Þ/þ is called thorn and is actually an old rune...
