Hebrew Verbs - To Live

There are two verbs for "to live" in Hebrew.
1. לחיות (lichyot)
This verb means "to be alive", "to exist", or to live in a certain area (like a country).
Example:
I live in Israel - �?ני חי בישר�?ל (ani chay be'israel)
I live for you - �?ני חי בשבילך (ani chay bishvilech)
Verb's root חי - (ch,y)
2. לגור (lagur)
This verb is far more specific. Its most common use is "to live in an apartment".
The apartment I live in is terrible! - הדירה ש�?ני גרה בה נור�?ה! (hadira she'ani gara ba nora'ah)
Where do they live? - �?יפה ה�? גרי�?? (eyfo hem garim?)
Verb's root - גר (g,r)
