The indefinite article (a, an) does not exist in Hebrew. A book is "ספר" (sefer) - book.

Definite Article

The definite article, however, does exist. It is the letter ה - ha, and it connects with the following word. For example: give me the book - תן לי ?ת הספר (ten li et hasefer).
If you use the definite article in a sentence that has a noun and an adjective you must use it with both of them.
So if you want to say "the wonderful new song" you would have to use the definite article with each of the adjectives and the noun : the song the wonderful the new - השיר החדש הנפל? (hashir hachadash hanifla).
In order to say "the new song is wonderful" all you have to do is remove the definite article from "wonderful": השיר החדש נפל? (hashir hachadash nifla). That's why it's important to watch when you use the definite article - it could change the meaning of the sentence.

Where did "to be" go?

You may have noticed that "is" is absent from the above example. That's because there's no need for the verb "to be" in the present tense in Hebrew. There is a present tense conjugation, but it is rarely used in everyday speech. You're more likely to see it in some poems, literature and perhaps very formal speech - but even then it is seldom used.
In the other tenses "to be" is used regularly.
