Faroese verbs

The verb tells what is being done or what is going on:
Barnið spælir = The child plays
Drongurin stóð har = The boy stood there
Blómar veksur = The flower grows
They are different from other word classes by the fact that they can be declined/conjugated in tenses: present, past, etc.
The verb at spæla (to play) is:
in present: spælir
in past: spældi
Verbs can be classified in moods and passives, they are conjugated in tenses, numbers and persons, they are transitive or intranstive and can be classified as verbs with sound changes and verbs without sound changes. They also use weak and strong conjugations.

Verbs are, as mentioned above, conjugated in persons and numbers. There are three persons 1st, 2nd and 3rd person. There are two numbers singular and plural.
