av (off/from)
Bólturin datt av takinum. - The ball fell off the roof.
frá (from)
Hann fekk bomm frá henni. - He got candy from her.
hjá (at)
Vit vóru inni hjá Ólavi. - We were at Ólav's.
(Note: hjá is also used possesively instead of the genitiv: Mín bóltur. = Bólturin hjá mær. = My ball)
(í)móti (towards/against)
�?sa og Sanna fóru (í)móti henni. - �?sa and Sanna walked towards her.
sambært (according)
Sambært brævinum fór hann heim nýggjársdag. - According to the letter, he went home on New Year's Day.
undan (away from)
Tey runnu undan honum. - They ran away from him.
úr (from)
Úr øllum ættum koma vindar. - Winds come from all directions.
