Føroysk kenniorð

The article can be indefinite or definite.

The indefinite article is:

Kallkyn: ein maður - a man
Kvennkyn: ein kona - a woman
Hvørkikyn: eitt barn - a child

Ein is conjugated this way:

The definite article is:

Kallkyn: hin stóri maðurin - the big man
Kvennkyn: hin raska konan - the skillful woman (Due to change)
Hvørkikyn: hitt sjúka barnið - the sick child

The definite article is most commonly at the end of a word and is then:

Kallkyn: -in maðurin - the man
Kvennkyn: -in bygdin - the village
Hvørkikyn: -ið barnið - the child

Hin is conjugated:
