Adjectives are declined in gender (feminine/masculine) and number (singular/plural) following the noun they describe.
The basic form is masculine singular.

The plural of an adjective is formed in the same way as for Catalan nouns.

The feminine is usually formed by adding -a at the end, but there are some exceptions:

  • -c becomes -ga
  • -e becomes -a
  • -u becames -va
  • If an adjective ends in a stressed vowel, the feminine is formed by removing the accent and adding -na.
  • The endings -aire, -ble, -me, -ne and -ista are not changed in feminine.
