Introduction
The language name is Asha'ille. Something that has to do with Asha'ille (that is, the adjective form) is Asha'illen. Those who speak Asha'ille are Asha'illens.
Asha'ille (pronounced IPA [ɑʃəʔi:l], X-SAMPA [AS@?i:l]) is a major language spoken on the planet Cresaea, rivalled only by Terran in number of proficient speakers. It is a descendant of the ancient language Sarenshille, and a sister language to Gharchove.
Basics
Pronunciation
Asha'ille has several written scripts, but for easy of documentation on the Internet, a transliteration scheme using the Roman alphabet is used.
Most single consonants have the same sound value as the letters represent in English; the following letters require more discussion:
- c is pronounced [ k ], always
- dh is pronounced [ ð ]
- gh is pronounced [ x ]
- jh is pronounced [ ʒ ]
- ln
- ml
Read about the Asha'illen Writing Systems and Asha'illen Phoneme Inventory for more in-depth discussions.
Grammar
The only other Wiki page I know of that uses Proy's constructs is Wasaqalu, another conlang, by Emandir.
