This English language resource for learning Afrikaans online is also mentioned here at unilang.com's Afrikaans language specific forum as perhaps the only current up to date internet resource for learning Afrikaans, as most other language learning resources appear to be either written entirely in Afrikaans or Dutch as the source language for internet users.

This is the widely talked about 'afrikaanse interneterme' list, containing over 500 Afrikaans words for terminology used over the Internet in Afrikaans with subsequent English language equivalents. Maintaned by Samuel Murray, the introductory preface to this list is written entirely in Afrikaans.

This is the 'afrikaanse woordeboek' section maintained through websters-online-dictionary.com and Philip M. Parker. Afrikaans to English only. An interesting feature about this particular website is that the Afrikaans word listings are given in ALL CAPS, as shown here. Afrikaans words are hyperlinked in blue to their definitions in English. This website seems best for intermeadiate users who are familiar with these types of dictionaries and have a better idea of the Afrikaans vocabulary (but not necessarily the English definition) which they are looking for. Though this dictionary source is somewhat large, the alphabetical index links to parts of this Afrikaans-English dictionary page are included at the very bottom, rather than as a sidebar as shown with a number of other languages given on the front page of this site. Perhaps smaller than the also excellent South African/Afrikaans search engine and dictionary resource found at http://www.rieme.co.za/ but perhaps still worth looking into when these other aftermentioned Afrikaans language sources have failed you.
