Languages

We recommend following the structure used in the German language section. There will be a general grammar section, explaining general grammatical features, e.g. what is a verb, noun, ...

But also each individual lanuages should have its own grammar section, like here: German grammar.

If each language sticks to a similar naming scheme, e.g. German verbs, Italian tenses, French prepositions, it will make it easier for all users.


Language names:

If for some reason you don't always want to write the full language names, e.g. maybe in a long list of languages, or as part of the linkname, please use the abbreviations of the languages that can be found here: [1]


This is an expanding list, giving names in several languages and also providing links to Ethnologue and ISO codes, providing further information about the language.


Don't forget to add a link to the previous page when creating new pages, for ease of navigation, for example:
