Rhine Franconian genitive

There is no genitive case in RF. For the first and second person, the genitive is expressed using the possessive pronouns. For the third person, it is usually expressed using dative case followed by the possessive pronoun. Sometimes you can also use the preposition fun ("of") followed by dative case.

Examples:
Das is mai audô = Das ist mein Auto = That's my car
Aia haus is grôs = Euer Haus ist groß = Your house is big
Ich han (dëm) sai chlisel = Ich habe seinen/ihren Schlüssel = I have his/her key
Em Hans sai tasch is kläna = Hans' Tasche ist kleiner = John's bag is smaller
Dî tasch fu'm Marî is grêsa = Marias Tasche ist größer = Mary's bag is bigger
Vô is em fada sai kab? = Wo ist Vaters Mütze? = Where is father's cap?
Em Maia Kurt sai frâ = Kurt Meyers Frau = Kurt Meyer's wife
Dî farv fun mainem jube = Die Farbe meiner Jacke = The color of my jacket
