The dialect I would like to present here is the variant of Rhine Franconian (Rheinfränkisch) spoken around Saarbrücken and Neunkirchen. Click here to see a map.

This dialect belongs to the Central German group. The difference between Lower, Central and Upper German is related to pronunciation. The Upper German dialects did all consonant shifts, the Lower German ones none, the Central German dialects partly. Here's an example:
Lower German: Wat makt dat Perd op'm Dorp?
Luxembourgish: Wat maacht dat Päerd op'm Duerf?
Rhine Franconian: Was macht das Pär(d) uff'm Dorf?
High German: Was macht das Pferd auf'm Dorf?

The grammar of RF is almost the same as in colloquial High German, most of the words are the same, but the pronunciation is quite different.
