15. Ιωαννης μα�?τυ�?ει πε�?ι αυτου και κεκ�?αγε λεγων: ουτος ην ον ειπον, ο οπισω μου ε�?χομενος εμπ�?οσθεν μου γεγονεν, οτι π�?ωτος μου ην.

kai kekrage legon: and cried (he) saying:
houtos een hon eipon, = this was whom I said
ho opiso mou erchomenos, = the (at the) back of me coming
emprosthen mou gegonen = in front of me there was
hoti protos mou een. = for first of me was (he).

16. Και εκ του πλη�?ωματος αυτου ημεις παντες ελαβομεν, και χα�?ιν αντι χα�?ιτος.
[Kai ek tou pleeromatos autou heemeis pantes elabomen, kai charin anti charitos.]

Kai ek tou pleeromatos autou = and from the fullness of his
heemeis pantes elabomen, = we all received
kai charin anti charitos. = and grace for grace.

17. Οτι ο νομος δια Μωϋσεως εδοθη, η χα�?ις και η αληθεια δια Ιησου Χ�?ιστου εγενετο.
[Hoti o nomos dia Moyseos edothee, hee charis kai hee aleetheia dia Ieesou Christou.]

Hoti o nomos dia Moyseos edothee, = for the law by Moses was given hee charis kai hee aleetheia dia Ieesou Christou = the grace and the truth by Jesus Christ

18. Θεον ουδεις εω�?ακε πωποτε, ο μονογενης υιος ο ων εις τον κολπον του πατ�?ος, εκείνος εξηγησατο.
[Theon oudeis heorake popote, ho monogenees hyios ho on eis ton kolpon tou patros, ekeinos exeegeesato.]

Theon oudeis heorake popote, = God (acc.) noone have seen ever
ho monogenees hyios = the only begotten son
ho on eis ton kolpon tou patros, = the being in the bosom of the father
ekeinos exeegeesato = that (he) declared.
