POPE (Mòmì) Postpositions
From UniLang Wiki
This is a list of common postpositions, which are attached to nouns and adjectives as suffixes:
- animate genitive (marking a possessor for animate nouns): (T)OPP
- inanimate genitive (marking a possessor for inanimate nouns): (AA)PPAA
- locative (expressing nearness): LOOK or JOOK, depending on the declension type
- instrumentative ("with"): LET or JET, depending on the declension type
- verbal complement: KA, placed after the (infinitive) verb complement itself
The first four were originally case markers, that's why they distinguish between L and J declension or between animate and inanimate nouns.
The letters in brackets are left out when there would be a vowel or consonant cluster otherwise.
Note that a characteristic consonant followed by an indifferent one is not considered a cluster.
