nature rain(fact, abs. respectful)
It is raining.
Nature is used as the subject, because a sentence must have an absolutive, and there are no pronouns.
Nature is always referred to respectfully.
ÓJOO P�?U ÓOTOJIL.
(Oroo bu Oodoryl.)
tall(masc.) be(fact), John(erg.)
John is tall.
John is the subject, the adjective is the object of the transitive verb "to be".
ÉKKOJI JUKO ÓOTOJIL ŨTTUU-JAK.
(Ekory rùngò Oodoryl Üsüü-rärh.)
book give John(erg.) Sue to
I think John gave Sue the book.
The indirect object is expressed using the postposition JAK.
Note that there are no tenses, and that a suspition is the basic mood for a verb.
POPE OKKUUPP-KA �?LUTI ŨUTTUUJ TA.
(Mòmì òngùm-ngè yludy Üüsüür nè.)
Mòmì speak (comp.) can(erg. humble) Sue(erg.) not
I (Sue) don't (can't) speak Mòmì.
Since there are no pronouns, even the first person must be mentioned by name.
The verbal complement "speak Mòmì" stands at the position of the absolutive. Its verb is in the basic form, followed by the postposition KA.
