The Official UniLang TODO list

This is the Official UniLang TODO list. Here you can see what tasks have to be done, and who has to do them. Anybody involved in UniLang can add him/herself to this ToDO list and can also add tasks for others involved. If adding a task to another person then please add (by yourname) before the task.


General (not bound to person)

  • write READMEs in CVS directories
  • translate the unilang pages to languages you speak well
  • translate phrasebooks or stories to languages you speak well
  • create new language resources (in wiki or elsewhere)


Arthaey

  • Fix known issues with Asha'ille PDF dictionary:
    • Title page's abstract isn't very informative. (Quote: "643 entries. Blah blah blah blah..." :))
    • Missing leaders in table of contents.
    • "Particles" should be alphabetized by their first letter, not the dash.
    • Alphabetical order should be Asha'illen order, not English.
    • "Asha'ille -- English" section title is on a page by itself.
    • Add a reverse lookup section ("English -- Asha'ille").
    • IPA problems with syllabics, [ɔ], ligatures [dʒ] snf [tʃ].
    • fv: and fe: cross-references.
    • Hanging indents on long definitions.

Abavagada

  • Join interactive materials into self reporting system
  • Repair all "broken" resources and clear error reports
  • Get data in verbalizer cleaned up and expanded
  • BB Database and search engine
  • Jumpstart PR

Bab

  • check the logs for problems
  • make new rewrite-rules to keep away spambots
  • set up vhosts for the main services of unilang and make rewrite-rules to avoid broken links
  • improve the DNS server and get the ISP to support RARP
  • grease the bot's bearings and check the locknuts

Carlos

  • (by proycon) Add something useful here

Emandir

  • Correct Proycon's French course for beginners
  • Carry on (and complete) the Unilang translation in French

E}{pugnator

  • resume the Of Course due part

Geoff

  • finish text on licensing issues
  • (by proycon) propose change of bylaw to require wiki knowledge for boardies

Junesun

  • Finish Latin course lessons (42-45, perhaps a few more)
  • Add more lessons to the English course for German speakers (lots of work to be done there)
  • Make the DTA usable for Unilang (English interface, more languages, better dictionaries)

jta

  • get overall idea of how UniLang web site works
  • find out relevant pages about relevant needs.
  • do something useful


Kunishiro

  • I will redesign the main page, (Main Page/Draft) with the goal of having it be as fully linked and useable as the UniLang.org main page.

  • Korean Phonology
  • 5-lesson Korean course (at Project Forum)
  • Phrasebook
  • Add Hanzi to all Sino-Korean words for Phrasebook

short-term:

  • link to dev. centers from readers: "Go here to correct errors"

medium-term:

  • handle justreadphrases with phrasebookprinter
  • get Starian's sounds for spanish course up

continuous:

  • make sure dummy flags are intact
  • make sure backups are intact

frozen

  • make phrasebook to flashcard printer
  • make vocabcenter to flashcard printer [IN PROGRESS]
  • make icon for daily system archives (ask aba if still needed)
  • talk to vokabel-test.de and then propose vokabel-test.de as external allied project.

Saaropean

  • finish Dutch course for German-speakers part II
  • put my old diacritics explanation back up
  • check who could make new beginner's courses (with language resources executive director Carlos)
  • get familiar with phpBB 2.2

Sesam

  • add something here (proycon)

Stancel

  • contribute some Esperanto resources
