type: weird, long sentences become extremely short
vocabulary: random
inspiration: different from everything I knew so far

I invented this language in 1998. It was a preparation for a science-fiction story I never wrote about aliens landing on Earth.

I invented a special grammar that allows you to translate terribly long sentences with two/three words. But even without the grammar behind, the example phrases are worth taking a glance at!

The language doesn't need a huge vocabulary, as almost everything is described. For example, the tides become the "force that makes water go up and down" or (translated literally) "force way water up not-up". This allows quite short basic words.

Between October 14th and 22nd, 2000 I eliminated some obscurities, removed the verbs and developed the script.

The name Llis is the abbreviation for language of the "lunatics in space". I've been using it since April 2001.
