Klingon Pronouns
From UniLang Wiki
Instead of having a different group of pronouns for direct objects, subjects, indirect object, reflexives, etc, there is only one set which you need to know in Klingon.
Klingon rarely uses pronouns, because the meaning can be implied through a verb prefix. However they are used occasionaly:
jIH I, me
soH you
ghaH he/she, him/her
'oH it
maH we, us
tlhIh you (plural)
chaH they, them (beings capable of using language)
bIH they, them (things incapable of using language)
A few notes:
* Pronouns are not used in possessive constructions, the set of Possessive noun suffixes is used for that
* Pronouns are not required in a sentence, but they can add emphasis. Thus, all these sentences are correct (remember that Klingon has OVS word order):
........HoDpu' vIlegh jIH I see the captains
........HoDpu' vIlegh I see the captains
........jIH mulegh HoDpu' The captains see me
........mulegh HoDpu' The captains see me
........soH qalegh jIH I see you
........soH qalegh I see you
........qalegh jIH I see you
........qalegh I see you
(HoDpu' = captains, legh = see)
