How to edit a page
From UniLang Wiki
Any registered UniLang member may edit any page in the UniLang Wiki. And it is very simple to do so, too. Each page contains an Edit this page-link at the top and at the bottom of the page. By clicking on this page you are taken to a page containing an edit window, where you can change the contents of the page, just like in a text editor. The changes are committed by pressing the Save page-button. Before committing you may also check what your changes look like by pressing the Preview-button. It will show you the result and another edit window where you may apply further changes. Pressing the Save page-button finalises the editing, the changes are applied to the database and you are taken back to the normal viewing mode of the Wiki.
All registered members automatically receive a Wiki login. You will be asked to log in when first trying to edit a page, or you can log in yourself by following the link "log in" at the top right hand corner of the page, or by following this link: Login.
Please also add a rough description of what you have changed in the Summary field before saving the change. In that way people using the recent changes page or looking at a page history can immediately see who did what.
Wiki Markup
When editing you can make use of various style features, e.g. italics, bold font, different colours, lists, tables, inserting images, etc... The syntax is similar to HTML, but simpler, you can read about it in the Wiki markup page.
You can practice editing pages in the UniLang sandbox, a test page created for playing around in to learn how to use the Wiki.
Be sure to use the UTF-8 encoding when editing pages.
