Gujhshi Nouns

Nouns are declined in gender and number. Cases are not distinguished in Gujhshi.
Gender
There are four genders in Gujhshi:
- feminine for females
- masculine for males
- neuter to be neutral
- inanimate for everything that has no sex (such as objects)
Feminine nouns start with a fricative (F, S, SH or CH), masculine nouns start with a stop (B, D, JH or G), neuter nouns start with a nasal consonant (M, N, NH or NG). Inanimate nouns can start with any letter.

Number
Gujhshi distinguishes between singular and plural. The formation of the plural depends on the noun.
If the noun ends in an oral vowel, you simply add an S.
If the noun ends in a nasal vowel, the consonant indicating the nasality is doubled (which makes the vowel oral), and an S is added.
If the noun ends in a consonant, you simply add an A.
woman = sonchi; women = sonchis hour = obnhan; hours = obnhanns house = ifngeb; houses = ifngeba
