Conjunction

Ich sehe das Kind und das Kind sieht mich.
I see the child, and the child sees me.

Inclusive Disjunction

Ich sehe das Kind oder das Kind sieht mich.
I see the child, or the child sees me.

Exclusive Disjunction

Entweder sehe ich das Kind, oder das Kind sieht mich.
Either I see the child, or the child sees me.

Contrast

Ich sehe das Kind nicht, aber das Kind sieht mich.
I don't see the child, but the child sees me.

Consequence

Ich sehe das Kind, also sieht das Kind mich auch.
I see the child, so the child sees me, too.

Reason

Ich sehe das Kind, deshalb sieht das Kind mich auch.
I see the child, that's why the child sees me, too.

Ich sehe das Kind, weil das Kind mich sieht.
I see the child because the child sees me.

Against expectation
