Ural-Altaic languages
From UniLang Wiki
Two groups form the Ural-Altaic family of languages: Uralic languages, which include Finnish, Hungarian and Estonian; and Altaic languages, which includes Turkish and other languages of the region, and possibly Japanese and Korean.
Grammatically, both groups have several similarities: languages are agglutinative, follow vowel harmony and nouns do not display gender. However, it has not yet been possible to estabilish a correspondence regarding vocabulary, so it has not yet been proved that the two groups are actually related.
