Introduction

Since the internet has no geographical boundaries, the UniLang members come from all corners of the world. They each represent different cultures, values and languages, which makes the UniLang group so versatile. After all, what interesting would a discussion be if everybody had the same opinion?

Of course, not all members are equally professionally engaged in language(s) or linguistics...some of the members use it in their profession or study it at university, whereas other members just take an interest in them, in a non-professional way. But what they all have in common is that they are all are bitten by the language bug.

Interested in becoming a member?

If you like what you're seeing here, and you want to join the UniLang Community, go to the How to join section and fill in the form. Remember, the more members we have, the more succesful UniLang becomes. And since UniLang still is a very young project, we are still trying to get as many members as possible...So we need your help!

Looking for someone?

If you are looking for a specific members, or for someone who speaks the language you want to learn and might want to become your penpal; you can use the advanced search functionality. You will be able to track down any member according to your wishes!

Updating your profile

It is very easy to update your unilang profile here. You can always add or remove things. Just press the VIEW button behind your name and then press the EDIT button at the bottom of the profile viewer.

Active vs. Inactive members

The biggest problem UniLang faces is that a lot of members register once and never return. Therefore we`ve come up with a way to seperate active users from less active users. You will see the names of active users in a bigger blue font. Active status can be easily obtained by simply updating your profile! Administrators will review this listing once in a while and remove active status from people who are no longer as active as they were. An active user is a user who frequently participates in the forum and/or chat, and/or who has helped creating nice language resources.

If you want to obtain a list of active users only you can click here
